Software as a Service (SaaS)
- It is “on-demand software." The applications are hosted by a cloud service provider.
- The Users can access these applications with the help of internet and web browser.
Characteristics of SaaS
- Managed by central location.
- Hosted on a remote server.
- The services are purchased on the pay-as-per-use basis.
- Users are not responsible for hardware and software updates. Updates are applied automatically.
- Example: BigCommerce , Dropbox , ZenDesk , Cisco WebEx , Slack , and GoToMeeting
