Turn Off Facebook Autoplay Sound in iOS
Are you using an iPhone or an iPad, here are the steps to disable automatic sound for autoplaying videos in the Facebook app:
- Open the Facebook application and head to the last tab(with the hamburger menu icon). Here, tap on Settings->Account Settings.
2. Then, tap on the “Sounds” option and disable the “Videos in News Feed Start With Sound” toggle. After you have done this, the autoplaying videos in Facebook will not play with sound.
Turn Off Facebook Autoplay Sound in Android
Are you using an Android smartphone, here are the steps to turn off automatic sound in News Feed videos:
- Open the Facebook app and go to the last tab(with the hamburger menu icon). Here, scroll down below and tap on “App Settings“.

2. You can then deactivate the toggle that says “Videos in News Feed Start With Sound“. That’s it, this will stop autoplay video sound in the Facebook Android app.
