Error Description:
Error 920 is one of the most commonly seen error codes in Google Play Store. Like other Google Play Store server errors, the error 920 pops up when we try to download, install or update app/game (WhatsApp, FaceBook, etc.) in Play Store, saying "Update or Download for 'App Name' could not be downloaded due to error. (920)".
Solution 1:
Ensure A Strong Internet Connection
If we download/update WhatsApp, FaceBook, etc. over a weak internet connection, the Google Play Store error 920 could appear. Therefore,
- When we are using mobile data, we need to turn the cellular data off and on. Or change to a Wi-Fi network.
- When we are using Wi-Fi, turn the Wi-Fi off and on. Or get the phone connected to other Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Solution 2:
Uninstall and Re-install App/Game
If we get the error 920 when we try to update a certain app or game in Google Play Store, we can fix the error by uninstalling and re-installing the app/game.
- Go to Settings > Apps/Application Manager.
- Find the app that causes the error.
- Choose the app and tap Uninstall.
Solution 3:
Clearing Cache and Data
We need to clear not only the caches and data of Google Play Store but also that of Google Play Service.
